Arbor Day Farm and Lied Lodge

A tree-themed farm and lodge in Nebraska City with a treehouse village, orchards, trails and fall events.

Arbor Day Farm is run by the Arbor Day Foundation in Nebraska City, about 50 minutes south of Omaha by car. The property combines a treetop-themed play area called Tree Adventure, the Lied Lodge and conference center, orchards, trails and seasonal events. Nebraska City is the birthplace of Arbor Day, and the farm leans into that heritage.

Tree Adventure is the main family attraction. It includes Treetop Village, with 11 treehouses across 3 acres connected by bridges and netted walkways, along with the WonderNet, a 50-foot slide, the Nature Explore Classroom and Carly's Climbing Cube. Trails wind through the property, and the Discovery Ride add-on runs on weekends April through October.

The farm is especially popular in fall. The orchards are known for apple picking and cider tasting, and the AppleJack Festival takes place in September. The All Hallows' Eve event runs October 9 to November 1, 2026. Other offerings include an Apple House Market, wine tasting, a spa and U-pick flowers.

Historic Arbor Lodge is listed as an activity on the farm's site. Lied Lodge offers overnight stays with an indoor pool. Families with young and school-age children get the most from the visit, but couples and groups enjoy the orchard and tasting experiences too. Advance ticket reservations are encouraged.
