The Astro is a pair of music venues in La Vista City Centre, about 20 minutes south of downtown Omaha (our estimate). The indoor theater holds up to 2,500 guests, and The Astro Amphitheater, a grass-lawn space attached to the north side of the building, holds up to 5,500, according to the venue. Local press reported that it is run as a joint venture of Omaha's One Percent Productions and Mammoth of Kansas, and that it opened in 2023.
The calendar brings national touring acts across rock, pop, country, hip-hop, tribute shows and comedy. Shows can be fully seated, partly seated or general admission standing room, and some tickets are high-top tables with barstools. VIP suites on the east balcony have their own bar, restrooms and entrance. The venue is all ages unless a show notes otherwise, and children 2 and under are free on an adult's lap.
The bars are cashless, and outside food and drink are not allowed, other than an empty clear plastic water bottle of 20 ounces or less. Bags must be clear or no larger than 4.5 x 6.5 inches, with no storage on site. Lawn chairs are not allowed at the amphitheater. The amphitheater is a rain-or-shine venue, and outdoor shows are concentrated in the warmer months.
Ticketmaster is the exclusive ticket seller, and the box office at the main entrance sells tickets on show days from 6 to 9 p.m. by card only. Parking in La Vista City Centre is run by the City of La Vista, with two garages and street parking at city-set rates, plus limited free parking at nearby Central Park lots. The surrounding district has restaurants within walking distance.
