Celebrate CB is Council Bluffs' week-long spring celebration and the city's longest-standing community event, running for more than 50 years. Each year has a theme; 2026 was CB On Track, honoring the city's rail history.
The week includes a community clean sweep, a farmers market cookout, pancakes in the park and the Saturday parade, which in 2026 stepped off at 10:30 a.m. Railroad Days events at the Union Pacific Railroad Museum, the General Dodge House and the RailsWest museum tied in with the theme. A carnival near Bayliss Park has been part of past editions.
It is a good excuse to cross the river and see downtown Council Bluffs, with its museums and historic homes.
