About the event
Black Violin is a Grammy-nominated group from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, led by violist Wil Baptiste and violinist Kev Marcus. They play classical strings over hip-hop beats.
The two met in high school orchestra class and started out covering hip-hop songs on their violins in local clubs. On tour they perform with a DJ, a drummer and a keyboardist.
