Sickies Garage Burgers & Brews is the Omaha outpost of a burger chain that built its reputation in North Dakota. The Omaha restaurant sits on the south side of Westroads Mall, just off I-680 and Dodge Street, and is open seven days a week, with a mid-morning start on weekends for brunch.
The garage theme is not subtle. Walls are covered with vintage signs, engine parts and automotive memorabilia, and the menu borrows the vocabulary, with burger names like Carport, Hot Rod, Chopper and Twin Cam. The result is loud, colorful and made for groups, with private party rooms available for celebrations and team events.
There are more than 50 made-to-order burgers, from a plain cheeseburger to oddities like the Glazed Doughnut Burger on a doughnut bun, plus wagyu options, sandwiches, baskets, salads and a long wing sauce list. The bar runs around 50 rotating taps, and there are daily deals such as all-you-can-eat wings on Tuesday and Thursday.
It suits families, sports-watching groups and anyone shopping at Westroads who wants a full meal. Kids eat free on Mondays, weekday lunch deals run from 11 am to 3 pm, and happy hour cuts pints, appetizers and wine in half. Reservations are not taken, so large parties should call ahead.
