Benson First Friday is a monthly evening when the galleries, studios and music venues of Omaha's Benson neighborhood open new shows and host performances. It has been going for more than a dozen years and is run through bffomaha.org.
Downtown Benson is a few walkable blocks along Maple Street lined with bars, restaurants and live music clubs, so the art walk easily turns into dinner and a show. Special editions pop up through the year; in August 2026 it hosted the 13th annual New American Arts Festival.
It is relaxed and creative, with a crowd of artists, neighbors and visitors. Downtown Omaha holds its own First Friday art walk the same night if you want to compare.
