In the darkest stretch of an Omaha winter, the Lawn, Flower & Patio Show fills more than 100,000 square feet with landscaped gardens, ponds, waterfalls and flowering plants. The 2026 edition was the 28th annual show, produced by the same team behind the Omaha Home & Garden Expo.
It feels more like an indoor garden walk than a sales event. Landscapers build full display gardens, and there are design competitions, live mural painting and chainsaw tree carving demonstrations.
Family favorites have included live hawk, owl and falcon shows from the Fontenelle Forest Raptor Team, pet adoptions with the Nebraska Humane Society and a playful Omaha Groundhog Day prediction starring a capybara.
It is a good pick for visitors in town during January who want something warm, green and kid-friendly.
