The Corporate Cup is a spring tradition in which Omaha companies field teams of employees to run or walk together, all to raise money for the American Lung Association. It has been going for more than four decades; the 2027 race will be the 46th.
The event is based at Aksarben Village, with courses that use the University of Nebraska Omaha campus and Elmwood Park. Choices include a timed 10K over rolling hills, a flat 5K (timed or untimed), a one-mile walk and a 100-yard Scheels Kids Run for ages 5 to 10.
Even if you are not on a company team, the race is open to individuals and makes a fun way to start a spring Sunday. Expect a festive scene of matching team shirts, cheering coworkers and families, and plenty of food and coffee options in Aksarben Village afterward.
