La Festa Italiana

The American Italian Heritage Society's Labor Day weekend festa, with Italian food, music and family fun in northwest Omaha.

Labor Day weekend · Il Palazzo (American Italian Heritage Society)

La Festa Italiana is the biggest event of the year for Omaha's American Italian Heritage Society, held over Labor Day weekend at the society's home, Il Palazzo, in northwest Omaha. The 2026 festa was the 42nd.

Many Italian families settled in Omaha in the early 20th century, and their descendants keep the food and traditions going here. Expect homemade Italian dishes, live music, and a friendly crowd of families, with organizers estimating about 10,000 visitors in 2025.

It makes a fun holiday weekend outing paired with the other Labor Day events around the metro, such as Ralston Days and the downtown block parties.

Highlights

  • Authentic Italian food
  • Live music over three days
  • Long-running, 42nd edition in 2026
  • Family friendly
