The Omaha Storm Chasers are the Triple-A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals, one step below the major leagues. Many players you see here will be in Kansas City within months, and big-league players on rehab assignments drop in from time to time.
Home is Werner Park in Sarpy County, near Papillion, a ballpark opened in 2011 with a relaxed, family-first feel. Beyond the outfield there is a grass berm where families spread out blankets, and the concourse wraps around the field so you can watch while you walk for food.
The 2027 season opens at home on Friday, March 26, against the Buffalo Bisons, with 75 home dates spread across parts of seven months. Theme nights, giveaways and postgame fireworks fill the promotional calendar, and visitors in town for the Berkshire meeting or a summer weekend often find a game is the easiest group outing around.
