Papillion Days is the Sarpy County seat's big summer celebration, and 2026 marked its 79th year. Organizers say it draws more than 50,000 people, and it serves as the main fundraiser for the Papillion Community Foundation, which turns the money into grants for local nonprofits.
The festival opens midweek with a family fun night in City Park, followed by a carnival that runs Thursday through Sunday. Saturday morning brings the parade down Washington Street through downtown.
It has a hometown feel: food stands, rides, neighbors in lawn chairs along the parade route and a chance to explore Papillion's small downtown.
