The Field Club of Omaha sits just a couple of miles from downtown, wrapped inside one of the city's most charming older neighborhoods. Its roots go back to the late 1890s, which makes it one of the oldest golf clubs west of the Mississippi River, and the course still feels like a classic city club: compact, leafy and walkable.
At roughly 5,200 yards and a par in the high 60s, the layout is short by modern standards, but tight corridors, mature trees and small greens keep it honest. Accuracy matters far more than distance here, and the course rewards players who can work the ball and manage their misses.
Beyond golf, the club is a full social hub with dining, a family pool area and a busy events calendar. Play is limited to members and their guests, so most visitors will only get on through a member invitation or a reciprocal arrangement made by their home club professional.

Tips for your round
- This is a private club, so ask your home club pro to call ahead about reciprocal play
- If a member invites you, expect a standard country club dress code: collared shirt and no denim
- Bring your accuracy clubs; a long-iron or hybrid off some tees can be the smart play
- Call the club directly for guest policies and fees
