The Pines sits in the countryside near Valley, about 30 minutes west of downtown Omaha. It is member-owned, and members still pitch in on landscaping and upkeep, which gives it a close-knit feel.
The course is on level ground, so it is one of the easier walks in the area. The defense is on the greens, which roll and break more than the flat fairways suggest.
