Treynor Recreation Area is a community course about 25 minutes east of Omaha in the Iowa countryside. It is a par-36 nine of just under 3,000 yards, with irrigated fairways and greens, rolling hills, mature trees and a few water hazards.
This is a relaxed, local place. Most of the play comes from members and weekly leagues, and the weekend scrambles are a big part of the social calendar.
The clubhouse kitchen serves sandwiches, a salad bar and bar food, and there is a full bar, so it is an easy spot for a casual round and a meal.
Go if you want a quiet small-town nine away from the city, or if you are already out exploring the Loess Hills.
