Bellevue Berry Farm and Pumpkin Ranch is a south metro favorite that feels more like a step back in time than a modern agritainment park. Farm antiques, livestock and a small western frontier town set the scene, and kids head straight for the tree houses and a three-story pirate ship playground.
In fall the big draw is the Great Pumpkin Roundup, with more than 20 acres of pumpkins, plus hayrides that roll through about 20 acres of woods along the old Papio Creek bed. The farm also hosts berry and vegetable picking earlier in the year.
After dark on fall Fridays and Saturdays the farm becomes the Ranch of Terror, with haunted hayrack rides and other scares. The farm usually holds a no-scare Halloween night for younger kids, and it hosts a few summer events too, such as a Fourth of July fireworks night.
