Union Omaha is the city's professional soccer team, playing in USL League One, the third tier of the American pro soccer pyramid. In a short history the club has become one of the league's most successful sides, winning the league title in 2021 and again in 2024.
In 2026 the team's home matches were at Morrison Stadium, Creighton University's 7,500-seat soccer stadium on the east side of campus, just north of downtown. The setting is compact and close to the field, and the supporters' section brings drums, flags and chants to every match.
The season runs from late March into the fall, with most matches on weekend evenings, and the league's playoffs follow in late fall. Union Omaha also plays in the U.S. Open Cup and the league's USL Cup, which sometimes bring higher-division opponents to town.
