Glenwood Golf Course is a nine-hole public course in the small town of Glenwood, Iowa, about 25 minutes south of downtown Omaha across the river. It is the kind of easygoing community course where leagues and regulars set the tone and visitors are welcome to join in.
The layout plays to par 35 and a little under 2,800 yards from the back tees, so it is short enough for beginners but has enough variety to keep a regular golfer interested. Bentgrass greens and bluegrass fairways give it nicer playing surfaces than you might expect at this price.
Green fees here are some of the most affordable you will find in the metro area, which makes it a good choice for a relaxed round on the way to or from the Loess Hills. Go around twice if you want a full 18.
