Barroco Wine Bar

An upscale, intimate wine and cocktail bar in west Omaha with European-inspired custom decor. It also hosts tastings of whisky, bourbon, scotch and wine.

Barroco Wine Bar & Craft Cocktails is a Rockbrook-area spot at 2935 S 108th Street owned by husband and wife Tyler and Heather Ray. It opened in December 2020 after pandemic delays, and the Rays also own neighboring businesses, including the barber shop whose hidden door leads into the bar.

The room has an old-world, speakeasy feel, with stone walls, chandeliers, dark wood and deep red accents. Heather Ray told a local outlet she wanted it to feel comfortable, warm and welcoming. The drinks side is broad. The bar advertises more than 200 bottles and 40 wines by the glass, plus Prohibition-inspired and house cocktails such as an old fashioned smoked with a blowtorch, a Sazerac, a Paper Plane and The Abiline.

The food is lighter, with charcuterie, cheese boards, bruschetta, dips, tinned fish boards and pizzas. Barroco fits a wine-and-cheese evening, a date or a small party. Private events can be booked, and online reservations are available through the website. It is open daily, with weekday openings that vary. The drink menu lists over 200 bottles of wine.
