The Caddy Shack Sports Bar & Grill is a family-owned sports bar near 120th and Blondo in northwest Omaha. Owner Jay Johnson told 3 News Now in 2021 that he loves everything about golf even though he is not very good at it. A second location, Caddy Shack West, operates at 180th and Harrison. Grant Triplett included the bar in taxi diver, his 2021 book of Omaha dive bars.
The room leans into its name, with golf memorabilia, references to the 1980 comedy Caddyshack and big screens showing games across every sports season. It gets busy on major sports weekends: in 2024 the owner told 3 News Now that the bar had more than doubled its usual beer and food supply for a busy March Madness weekend.
Wings are the best seller, according to the 2021 report: sauced, grilled, then sauced again. Ty Webb Tots, a house original, are bacon-wrapped tater tots with jalapeño inside, covered in cheese and served with ranch. Weekday lunch specials have included meatloaf, chicken fried steak and a Thursday spaghetti served half meat sauce, half beer cheese. It suits groups watching a game or anyone wanting a late meal.
