Brickway Brewery & Distillery
A combined brewery and distillery in the Old Market, making its own beer plus whiskey, rum, vodka and gin. Beyond the taproom pours, it also cans cocktails.
Brickway Brewery & Distillery is at 1116 Jackson Street in the Old Market. Founder Zac Triemert, formerly head brewer at Upstream Brewing, started it in 2013, and the name comes from the brick alley behind the building. Brickway began with a few staple beers and later added distilling.
Today it makes whiskey, rum, vodka and gin alongside beer. Year-round beers have included a pilsner, a coffee vanilla stout and the Omaha Stylee juicy IPA, with seasonal and taproom-only batches. Press coverage also lists canned cocktails such as the Midwest Mule and a passion fruit vodka soda.
The combination of a brewery and a distillery under one roof makes it a good stop for people who want to compare beer and spirits made in the same place. The brewery's own website blocks automated reading, so confirm taproom hours and any tours or food policy there.
