Gather

Gather is a modern American restaurant at 1108 Howard Street in the Old Market, part of Gather Restaurant Group, which also runs Gather in Jackson Hole and on Maui. Its calling card is Gather Urban Farm, a hydroponic vertical farm downstairs in the lounge that guests can view. The restaurant says greens grown there, including arugula and watercress, are used across the menu and in cocktails.

The menu is broad and seasonal, with smalls like pork buns, wagyu tartare and za'atar carrots, salads made with farm greens, and large plates such as elk bolognese, fried chicken, filet mignon and curried rainbow trout. Drinks include a Gather Mule, the Old Market Fashioned and a basil-based Basil Smash on Tuesdays, along with local beers and mocktails.

Weekly specials include half-price select wine on Wednesdays and a Girl Dinner on Thursdays. Gather has two outdoor patios and party rooms, and it is near the Orpheum, Holland Center and CHI Health Center. It opens daily at 5 pm, making it a good pre-show or late dinner choice, and the menu marks gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian options.
