Pitch Pizzeria

Pitch Pizzeria is a coal-fired pizza restaurant in Dundee, one of several locations that include a West Omaha restaurant and two in Scottsdale, Arizona. The Dundee dining room has brick walls, exposed beams and candlelit tables, and it runs a full bar. The oven runs hot enough to finish a pie in about three minutes.

The all-day menu is built around specialty pies with a wide range of toppings: Marsala with fig sauce, pear and goat cheese, Shrooms with thyme cream and truffle oil, the fennel-sausage Tin Man, a Thai pie with peanut sauce, and a plain Margherita. A pizza of the week changes regularly.

Beyond pizza there are starters like coal-fired artichokes, calamari, crab cakes and meatballs, plus a long list of salads and a few cocktails and wines under the Pitch label. A weekday happy hour runs 2 to 6 pm, and brunch is offered Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 2 pm. It suits groups who want to share several pies, date nights and happy hour stops. Dinner is busy, so book through the website's reservation page when possible. Gluten-free and vegan crust is available on pizzas for an extra charge.
