A casual wood-fired pizza spot in Midtown Crossing with an open kitchen and a self-pour tap wall of 25-plus beers, wines, ciders and cocktails. A large patio with fire pits and a wall of TVs make it a natural game-day stop.
Smokin' Oak Wood-Fired Pizza and Taproom is a pizzeria at 220 S 31st Avenue in Midtown. The Omaha location was opened by owners Dan and Maribeth, who describe their goal as sharing a truly fresh pizza experience. Pizzas are cooked in a wood-fired oven. The restaurant is in the Midtown Crossing area at the corner of 32nd and Farnam, an easy stop for guests staying in the Blackstone and Midtown neighborhoods.
The menu centers on 10-inch pizzas, from a simple Margherita and a Classic to inventive combos like the Smokey Dokey with BBQ sauce, chicken and applewood bacon, the Bee Keeper with pepperoni and hot honey, and a stuffed-crust Urban Legend. Starters include stuffed cheese bread, salads are on offer, and desserts include wood-fired cinnamon knots and apple pie.
The taproom side is a self-pour tap wall with over 25 beers, wines, ciders and mixed drinks. The space has 15 big-screen TVs, a wine room, and a large patio with three fire pits and heaters.
