The Corner Kick Cantina

An Aksarben-area sports bar and cantina built around soccer, with street tacos, tequila and a margarita happy hour. Busy on match days.

The Corner Kick Cantina describes its concept as Mid-West Mex, a mix of Mexican cooking, sports-bar atmosphere and a deep tequila list. This location at 2295 S 67th Street is one of three in the Omaha area, and the restaurant says everything is made in-house from scratch. Its other locations are on North 132nd Street and P Street.

Televisions are spread throughout the room, which makes it a natural place to watch games, and the venue promotes MLB playoff viewing and holiday events. Private party space and catering are available for bigger groups. The menu is large. Street tacos come in chicken, beef, carnitas, chorizo, al pastor and barbacoa, and there are signature burritos, birria-dillas, fajitas, ribs, smashed burgers and plenty of shareable starters like egg rolls and nachos.

The bar stocks more than 100 tequilas and serves margaritas, mules and a Long Island iced tea. Happy hour runs weekday afternoons and a dine-in late-night happy hour covers the evening. The restaurant recommends booking ahead, so use the online reservation link for a table on game nights or with a larger party.
