Fizzy's Fountain & Liquors is a retro soda fountain for adults at 1408 South 13th Street in Little Bohemia, next to the old Bohemian Cafe building. Noah and Katie Mock, co-owners of Nite Owl, opened it in March 2020 around the idea of a 1950s-style fountain that serves cocktails alongside comfort food.
The look is a nostalgic diner, and the crowd is strictly grown-up, since it's 21-plus at all times. Reservations are only taken for parties of six or more, by email, and come with a two-hour table limit, a single tab and an automatic gratuity, so smaller groups should plan to walk in.
The drink menu is the draw: boozy floats, ice cream cocktails and slushee cocktails, plus original mixed drinks and beer. The food side covers burgers, shoestring fries, a fried chicken sandwich and a vegan burger, with a Thursday steak dinner special. On weekends a hangover brunch runs late morning into the afternoon.
Fizzy's is a fun stop for groups and birthday outings, and it pairs well with a walk along the 13th Street strip, with Masa Luna, Tiny House Bar and Lumen Beer all within a few blocks. It also works for a post-show drink if you're catching something at the BLUEBARN or the Admiral.
