Unfortunately, this stay was pretty subpar for the price we paid. The house was noticeably dirty and dusty, which made it feel like it hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned before our arrival. There were also several maintenance and accessibility issues. The outside back light did not work, which made that area difficult to navigate at night. The mattress had also been flipped upside down, leaving us sleeping on an extremely hard surface the first night. Once we realized what had happened and corrected it, it was much more comfortable, nobut this shouldn’t have been something we had to figure out ourselves.
I also want to point out that the access to the front door does not appear to be ADA compliant, which could be a significant concern for guests with mobility limitations.
The only real saving grace of the stay was the hot tub, which we did enjoy. Unfortunately, that wasn’t enough to make up for the cleanliness and maintenance, especially considering the price.

We had a wonderful stay for a couple of nights. We were in town for a doctors appointment so I had to work for most of the day. The internet was great and reliable. It was close to UNMC. We enjoyed a quick trip down town for dinner. Great location for short jaunts to the Lauritzen Garden and to catch a movie. We enjoyed our evenings in the hot tub watching the stars come out. The back yard offered a quiet place to relax and star gaze. Overall a great stay. The bed was comfortable as well and the pull out couch was a perfect place for my daughter to sleep.

This was our second time staying here and the bed is still the best air bnb bed we've slept on. Everything was as described and met our expectations. The only thing we can critique is that there were some dusty spots/corners and the floors were a little dirty by the front door. Overall fine, but there's no door going into bedroom area (open space with a curtain, so no noise barrier) and furniture was all uncomfortable. We also found mouse turds in kitchen stuff, along with mouse traps/poisoning. Definitely not meant for a family place, and things needed a deep cleaning, but hosts were responsive. Hot tub was nice but overall, didn't feel worth the price. Kitchen was stocked fairly well, but it felt like everything was just a little too full of short cuts. This is a very nice little place to stay when you’re in Omaha. We had ubered from downtown and back and were involved in a hit and run ~300 feet away from the property. I had notified Dan and he was able to let us stay an extra hour as we had all gone to the hospital and arrived at the property at around 430 AM. Dan is the only host who has ever made us question if we should use air bnb anymore. They claimed false accusations after our stay requesting a ridiculous amount of money. Originally we were not even going to mention any problems we encountered even though they are there. He said we put something in hot tub even though we came to town for a funeral and hardly got in it, and even then did not really get in more then a few minutes because it was gross. We spent a total of maybe 5 min between 2 uses because gross hair looking stuff was floating around and it did not seem well kept. We showered before each use, and had nothing on us to cause what he said is foam. We were also accused of breaking a bar stool that we never used because we were HARDLY THERE. This whole booking was not worth the time or stress after losing our grandma. The bed is hard and not comfortable either. The couch and chair is same exact way save yourself money and time and book with a good host who cares.

This air bnb was perfect for myself, partner, and our cat. The house is small but in a cute/cozy kind of way. The bed was the most comfortable air bnb bed I have ever slept on and it was nice to have a TV in the bedroom area. It was also nice to have a patio/back yard area to hang out in. The only downside was the window A/C unit. It looks like it could use a good cleaning/servicing and wasn't able to keep the entire house cool. It was between 70F-88F on our trip, so a stay here during real fall or the winter would be perfect but it might get too hot for some in the summer. Was also nice being so close to Benson. Tons of great restaurants and music venues.

The house was cute location was good for anywhere you need to go in omaha. The stairs are very steep and we're rough to carry a baby up and for my mom to climb. The futon was low to the ground my baby loved it. But it was very wobbly too and would tip easily. Overall it was a nice place just wouldn't take people who have a rough time with stairs.

We had a get away few days scheduled and this home was perfect for the two of us. It’s a smaller home but it’s location makes it close to everything and the management team is so accessible if any issues arise. We had a wonderful three days, thank you!

This was one of multiple airbnbs a friend and I stayed at during a birthday road trip.
Con’s: The front steps are fairly steep and the portion without a rail feels unsafe There one bed is the only comfortable place to sleep. The futon in the living room is hard and flimsy and the other fold out chair was uncomfortable and basically at the foot of the bed.
Neutral: The hot tub seemed to have some leaf debris, but there was a severe storm in Omaha a few days before our arrival and there’s a good chance this was the result of the storm. We weren’t concerned enough to make a fuss and just didn’t use it.
PROS: the house is cozy and very aesthetically pleasing. My pup wasn’t with me but if he was the fenced back yard would have been welcome. (The yard is quite sloped so may not be great for kids or particularly clumsy adults). I walked to Jojo’s off of Maple (highly recommend) and everyone I came across in the neighborhood was friendly. Everything was clean and I felt safe.

We really enjoyed our stay. The hosts were prompt with communication, and the spot was perfect for walking around Benson. Thank you!

3/5 places to sleep uncomfortable “pullout” furniture. Patio furniture and hot tub were both dirty upon arrival. Several spindles broken off back deck and left laying in yard along with other trash such as small liquor bottles and cigar wrappers. Animal trap on side of house. “Pet friendly” and shows a fenced in yard but is not fully fenced. Grass was 8-10” tall. Several muddy areas in back yard including a set of “stairs” dug into the side of the hill. Several holes around deck haphazardly covered with some bricks and planters. Listing shows only a few steps to front door but fails to show second set of concrete stairs with a wobbly handrail. Weather strip on inside of back door falling off. All items sent to host via chat with no response(did not request for anything to be fixed, just informing). Left a day early due to power outage in most of Omaha. No communication from host checking in on us or response when indicating we would be departing early.

Instead of focusing on hip/artsy and done as cheap as possible, focus on actual comfort and use. Sleeps 5? The loveseat and chair that turn into pallets, nobody would sleep on those, especially 3 people and with the itchy yak hair pillows. It was myself and one other, and we felt on top of one another in this space. I had to buy 2 fans, and have one blow over the ice I kept putting in my cooler. My homemade swamp cooler, 2 fans, and their tiny window unit that kept tripping the breaker until we figured out what we could not turn on, held the temp on day two to 78 degrees. Day we arrived, it was 90 degrees or until our extra efforts brought it down.

The two main amenities we were looking forward to using were the bed and the hot tub, both of which were really disappointing. The bed was outright broken, sagging in the middle, and precarious. The broken legs looked like they'd been re-attached with packing tape. It was uncomfortable & crappy.
The hot tub had visible dirt in the water, which also smelled unusual. On turning it on, we noticed floaty white stuff in it, like some kind of biological detritus. We got out almost immediately to shower because it was gross & crappy.
Other annoyances included broken trash can, broken towel rack, insufficient cooling, only 2 forks?, wrong time on the wall clock which caused some confusion, a lack of USB ports anywhere which seems unusual this day & age, uncomfortable pillows, missing shower curtain liner, thin annoying toilet paper, & the conditioner had either separated or had something added to it, looked weird, smelled unpleasant.
I would not want to stay here again.

The decor was so cute and we felt right at home. Had a very nice hot shower and the shower had really good pressure! Bed was comfortable enough for a two night stay but I was happy to get back to my own. They had lots of extra pillows and blankets. A little hot in the main areas of the home but there are fans and the bedroom is nice and cool for sleeping. The washer and dryer was very convenient as well. Overall we were extremely happy with our stay!

this place was perfect for a couple. There were no doors on the bedroom but rather a curtain for privacy. No biggie for a couple. The kitchen was well equipped and clean, as was the bathroom. There was a nice office nook with a desk that we used for work. The yard was the best thing about the place as it was large and private. One consideration is that the yard is not entirely fenced, so dogs should remain on leash.

The place itself was as pictured - clean, cute decor and equipped with necessities. The host was great - very communicative and helpful throughout our stay.
We especially loved the gaming console - so fun! We didn't use the hot tub or backyard as our stay was relatively short and we used this space as a touchpoint while we were out exploring Omaha.
The neighborhood itself is a bit of a mixed bag. While this particular VRBO was well-maintained, some of the surrounding properties could use some TLC. We mention only so folks manage their expectations.
Overall, this VRBO is ideal for travelers who prioritize a nice space to chill after a busy day exploring, rather than those looking to spend their time in the neighborhood in which they are residing.

Overall a place to crash. Commutation is poor paid for 2 nights only stayed one. He knew about the storms messaged him and nothing as there was down wires and a large branch. There is a lot more. Definitely would be a last resort.

The place was clean, had a hot tub, and had a good rustic/modern vibe balance. Upon arrival, the place was 120 degrees and we could not walk on the floor with out shoes. Clearly the place had been baking for quite some time. We opened the windows and doors, but there was no way to turn off the blazing heater. Dan and co-host responded with in a few hours and sent a maintenance person to fix the thermostat within a reasonable time frame. This did work to solve the issue, but it was still in the high 80's as we went to sleep. The hot tub was a great was to cool off in response the heat of the house.

Overall the house was accommodating for staying there. The queen bed in the bedroom was well used and had collapsed in the center of the bed so my wife and I kept rolling to the center.
The living room couch was not a place to sleep as it had no cushioning of the brackets supporting the couch cushions. The fold out chair in the sitting area had legs that could only support a child.
The hot tub was not clean at all when we arrived and when I called to ask how to get the ice maker working in the refrigerator the morning of second day of our stay and did not get a return call, I did not bother calling to get anyone out to clean the hot tub.
The garbage can out front was full and when I called the first day to see if it could get emptied, the person who answered asked me to take it to the curb for pick up by the city.
We also experienced some black ants in the kitchen, and again did not call since we never received a call back from the service / maintenance person.
If you need a place to stay to keep the rain off of you, okay place to stay.
Otherwise not worth the price we were charged.

Had a great weekend and Dan’s place is in a great place. The decor and space was nice. Biggest issue to note is the “sleeps five.” Two of the beds are futons and feel like sleeping on cardboard. Bring extra blankets to make things more cozy. But there’s no way around the sleeping arrangements. Space would be perfect for a couple and perhaps a kiddo. Dan was responsive and communicated well before and throughout our trip.

We loved our stay at Dan’s. We live in town and booked it for a staycation because of the hot tub and it was totally worth it! The place was very clean with many cute and thoughtful additions (plenty of linens, living room blankets, well decorated). The bedroom has curtains but no doors so it wouldn’t be very private if you were traveling with a group. Also, the sofa bed is probably one of the most uncomfortable ones I’ve tried out.

Dan was a very responsive host for the most part. We did have a situation with the hot water not working the first night after I took a 25 minute shower and then the water turned cold but I’m pretty sure that was due to the weather because it was extremely cold so I didn’t bother the host with that because by the next morning the hot water was working again. It is a nice spot for two people to stay in. I do wish the back door had a curtain over the glass window because you can see straight through it and you have to pass that back door to get to the living room. No one was back there when we walked past but just for my own safety that would have been nice to have. That’s just my personal preference. Other than that place was good!

Great stay at Dan's place! The location was perfect for us, close to everything in Omaha. The kitchen had everything needed for cooking, even a large fridge! The bed was also super comfortable. Overall it served its purpose and was very clean and cute. I would advertise it more for TWO ppl not 5. Hot tub was dirty we scrubbed it ourselves so could use it. Was told there was coffee, there was ONE pod so had to go buy that. Bathroom soap dispenser was broke so had to use the body wash to wash our hands. Toilet paper is super thin & cheap and the provided shampoo didn’t lather either. But that stuff is minor. We would stay again. I would suggest a small foot stool for the livingroom area for the chair in there and it would be nice to have the privacy fence on BOTH sides for using the hot tub.
